Air purifiers can help with paint fumes by filtering and removing VOCs from the air. It is a good idea to run your air purifier in the room while you paint and for several days afterward. Air purifiers have a fan and filter that pulls in the air from the room and filters out unwanted particles like paint VOCs making the air you breathe less harmful.
You should still follow all the recommendations on removing paint fumes like using baking soda, proper ventilation, airflow, and allowing 48 hours before moving back into the room. An air purifier can speed up the process but it’s also a great way to cut down on the VOCs in the room during the paint job which can be hard to avoid otherwise.
